PARK CITY, UT (January 31, 2019) – Storied Deer Valley, LLC, the owner and developer of Talisker Club in Park City, Utah, today announced the acquisition of the historic Coal & Lumber building, with plans to transform it into the newest Talisker Club gathering place, restaurant and lounge. 

Plans are underway for the 5,422 square foot building, located at the intersection of Main Street and Heber Avenue, with preliminary concepts including a fine Dining restaurant, a Coffee Shop and Wine Bar and a Member-Only Après Ski Lounge and Patio. The creation of this newest downtown dining and gathering experience is all within easy access to Main Street and Park City Mountain’s Town Lift. After months of deliberation the United States Olympic Committee has chosen Salt Lake City to bid for a future Olympic Winter Games.


The International Olympic Committee won’t award the 2030 bid until the summer of 2023. The United States will host the 2028 Olympic Summer Games in Los Angeles, which had previously held the 1984 Games.

The Olympic community worldwide still holds Salt Lake City’s 2002 Games in high regard. Venues remained world-class and world-class events continually are held in Utah, including skiing, snowboarding, speedskating. bobsled, skeleton and luge World Cup events. Not to mention the World Championship events held here.

FIS Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping Events

This month, Park City will host the International Ski Federation (FIS) Continental Cup for Nordic Combined and FIS Cup for Ski Jumping for women and men. Together with events a week earlier in Steamboat Springs, CO, these represent the first women's Continental Cup Nordic Combined events to be held in North America.

Park City will receive the international field Dec.18-20, right after the events in Steamboat.
